Later, 2011!

31Dec11

It has been a year of sitting, wishing and waiting… learning new skills and losing some smelly old friends. All in all it was a good one and full of life. Let’s hope this time next year we will be saying the same thing about 2012… If we all get blown to smithereens next December [...]

These were both taken last winter as so far this year we haven’t had much snow here…

A little update about my progress so far in December and a little rant about holidays. To be continued in another video :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM BLASTEDGOAT!! I will study up, practice and edit said novel this month and next month will begin crafting my dream book! I will probably make a few copies by [...]

Each cupcake here started in a regular greased cupcake pan full of $1 boxed devil’s food cake mix. For peanut butter add a drizzle of slightly heated peanut butter to the tops and bake as directed. For mint stir in mint chips when making the batter. For plain just bake according to the recipe. For [...]

A few shots from this lovely December day. It’s so strange this weather we’ve been having in jolly old Iowa. Happy solstice & winter holidays!

Remember these? They are made by boiling (frequently stirring) your favorite berries (I used raspberries, blueberries and blackberries as they are my favorites AND on sale!) with sugar. I don’t know how much, a good handful, or a couple of cups, however sweet you wish your fruit goo to be but remember it is fruit [...]

What can you do with two boxes of $1 cake mix (yellow and devil’s food) two cans of store brand frosting (milk chocolate and cream cheese) two variations of sprinkles (rainbow dots and classic chocolate) three types of berries boiled with sugar into fruit goo filling (raspberry, blueberry and blackberry) along with Andes mint baking [...]

Knitmas Gifts

18Dec11

Finally! Here’s that knitting post I promised… I used Tidal Pool, Cocoa and Mahogany (Caron Dazzleaire yarn 80% acrylic 20% nylon) for the short/wider scarf. I knitted 17 across and went until I mostly ran out of yarn, reserving some for the fringe. I lost the names of the yarn in the other scarf but [...]

Back in my college days :) Good times… it’s hard to believe I’ve been out for two years already! Maybe a more current set of self-portraits is in order for the holidays. I love that I’m rocking a Caucus shirt I tie-dyed during the last presidential election… If you don’t know who I want this [...]

I attended the talk given by Ron Paul at the University of Northern Iowa and was impressed with the length and depth of the issues he covered. Some topics concerned young people but the talk was geared toward the problems facing society as a whole. Dr. Paul said he would start by returning to the [...]

These shots are of fireworks from a summer or so ago but I figured we could all use a little warming up. Snuggle in and enjoy all your holiday celebrations this season!

Subscribers, friends and people wandering here aimlessly from other webpages hear this! (Who even calls them webpages anymore?) ANYWAY, I decided I am tired of drawing just meh and want to draw like WOW! I found a super helpful and talented artist on YouTube named markcrilley he is amazingly awesome and I need to create [...]
